This year for Halloween I’m going to try to make my costume. I have a pretty good idea for what I want to do.
I am a huge fan of WWI uniforms and of Larfleeze, Agent Orange in the DC Universe. Normally, these are not similar ideas to bring together for a costume…
…but, I do have a plan.
The character I’m designing is from a short story I wrote in a college Creative Writing course:
A Lieutenant Communication Officer for the Supreme Allied Command Republics of Texas and the Rio Grande.
And a Corporal Communications Mech for the Supreme Allied Command Republic of Sadona
I will not comment on the quality of the short story, I did get an A, but there’s no accounting for taste…
What I need:

- Helmet / Orange Variant
- Hat
- Goggles
- Shirt
- Jacket / Orange Variant
- Coat
- Trousers
- Boots
- Utility Belt / Orange Variaint
- Rank insignia
- Orange Lantern Ring
Some of this I will buy premade, already have the helmet on order from an Army Surplus, and some of it I will make myself. Over the next 31 days I’m going to present my progress and hopefully be finished by Halloween.
